Welcome to the Foundation in Bash training course

This short course is part of the DiRAC Foundation in HPC focused strand of courses and is intended for students who are new to High-Performance Computing. The material was developed for DiRAC systems, but should be applicable to any current HPC system students might have access to.

It is delivered in a self-paced format, so students can dip in and out whenever is convenient. The estimated time to complete this course is 5 hours.

  • Transfer data between local and remote systems.
  • Access and organise files in appropriate locations.
  • Prepare and launch your first job on an HPC system.
